Silken Images' root philosophy mirrors that of its founder, Michael J. Laudini. In order for us to produce the artistic glamour images that define our style we have certain standards that we adhere to:

The client's comfort is top priority:
Silken Images will not compromise on this, because if the client is uptight and uncomfortable with her photo session it will definitely show up on film; ultimately reflecting poorly on our reputation. We have a lot riding on the success of our client's photo session.

Black & White film:
Black & White film is very conducive to producing images that are inherently artistic, beautiful and aligned with our style.

Lighting
We always use incandescent and natural lighting. Occasionally, we'll use flash to compliment the overall shooting environment.

Familiar locations:
Clients can choose to have their photo session either at their homes or at our studio. The studio is set up to resemble a relaxing and comfortable living area. People tend to relax more when they are in familiar surroundings, which helps to contribute to the "non-intrusive" approach that we are so passionate about.
